“As someone who watches mainstream coverage of women’s sports, including the Olympics, World Cup, and NWSL, I fully get the frustration of the limitations of such broadcasts.
I fully appreciated and loved this podcast which left me with a deeper understanding of the grueling nature of the World Cup campaigns, the behind the scenes glimpses of the USWNT, the camaraderie of the global game and the humor that sustains those bonds, and the dedication of the past and current players.
One story that stays with me is Christen running after playing a full game in order to ready herself for the demands of her different position on the national team. I remain awed by that dedication and level of preparedness.
