Description
While the holiday season is full of family, festive traditions, holiday cheer, and food, it can also amplify stress and pressures. How do you deal with economic pressures, trauma, uncomfortable conversations, and loneliness? How do we navigate family and feelings?  We sat down with Wanda Demeke, a licensed mental house counselor, from The Rescue Mission’s Charis House to talk about preparing your mental health for the holiday season.  She weighs in on setting boundaries, making room for uncomfortable conversations, and handling the pressures of work. Wanda also emphasizes the importance of recognizing individual feelings of loneliness and being proactive when recognizing someone else struggling with loneliness.
