Description
Ryan Foguth won the Rookie of the Year Award while competing in the 120 mile AuSable River Canoe Marathon in Michigan. This highly underrated race is the longest non-stop river canoe race in North America where contestants are pushed so hard they never even stop to pee, thus urinating on themselves while paddling. The "NASCAR of Michigan" as they call it. In this episode, Ryan breaks down the paddles strokes which no one seems to know; teaches you HOW to efficiently maneuver a canoe; and tells a near death story of overturned canoers out in a lake in winter.
As a current US Coast Guardsman that trains Helicopter Rescue Swimmers and Bootcamp Recruits, Ryan discusses the mindset of success which allowed him to excel as a Canoer, Power Lifter, Runner and Elite Military Athlete.
