“This is a podcast for casual or new Buffy fans. The recaps are pretty loose and not very deep in discussing the nuance and metaphor of the show. The recappers spend an equal amount of time talking about times in their childhood concurrent to the airing of the show but without tying their anecdotes in an interesting or meaningful way to the episodes. Some research or humor would make this a better listen. For instance, the promo for this pod talks about taking us back to 1999 via a Buffy rewatch. This would put the show at season 3. Buffy was a midseason replacement and premiered in March of 1997. Very clear that even the recapper who is a fan isn’t a very serious fan of the show. Skip this and listen to the Buffering pod as others have suggested.”

“I love Buffy and I am very excited to relive the series. My only issue with the first episode is no mention of the movie. I don’t think a lot needed to be said but it is canon because the events that happened in LA are the events of the movie.”
