Description
Lots of people dream of becoming a professional author. Kerry Fisher published her first novel at 48 and turned the dream into a reality. However, all those words don't appear by magic. Kerry loves bringing her characters to life but she also describes the determination and hard graft required to be a writer. Kerry is a writer grounded in reality both on and off the page, taking inspiration from the problems faced by mid-life women. 'I want women to be reading my books and think, I feel heard by you.' We also learn that creating these books is a team effort. Kerry describes the need to trust other people and let editors and publishers bring their expertise to get the finished book over the line. It's not easy to hand over the baby but she has learned to let go.
