Solid and necessary
Two episodes in: this is an important story, and I look forward to the rest of the series. One concern coming out of episode two is the lack of any reference to race. The historical overview of mega churches through the 70s and 80s leaves out any mention of suburban white flight, and whiteness is all over this social experiment. I really hope this gets addressed in later episodes. It is hard to imagine anything more white and male than Mars Hill and the roots from which it came. That’s not the whole story, but it must be a big part of it.
