The treatment this topic deserves
As a former active member of Mars Hill, I’ve long been waiting for a treatment like this. It has the story telling and production value of Serial and the psychosocial nuance of a Malcom Gladwell investigation. I cannot recommend it highly enough. And the story, as told here, is so much bigger than Driscoll or any one church. This is a deep deep problem rooted in the core of American evangelicalism.

More reviews of The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill
I have listened to the first two episodes, the first detailing the fall and the second going into a history before Mars Hill. This material has exceeded my expectation and has helped me understand the broader mega-church phenomenon. Looking forward to the next ten episodes.

I have so enjoyed this podcast so far. They speak of tense issues with grace and nuance, and bring to light issues plaguing the church. In order to create changes, we need to know our history, and this podcast does that in a great way.

Really have enjoyed the first three episodes -an in-depth look at Mars Hill as well as the evangelical church as a whole over the past few decades. Mike does a great job at telling a fair and accurate story from as many viewpoints as possible.
