“I am a huge fan, I am both English and Jewish based in London whose biggest regret is that I have not seen any of her live shows here.
During my childhood my late father used to play American Jewish comedy records to all the guests that ever game to our House on a Friday night. We thought we had listened to it all but I have been on a voyage of discovery recently and have realised we had barely scratched the surface.
Sarah’s complaint about Jewish actors not playing Jewish roles is also reflected in debates here too with Maureen Lipman leading the charge. In the male sense the classic example of this is Laurence Olivier’s role in Neil Diamond’s the Jazz Singer.
Hope Sarah stays safe and healthy as I want to listen to more episodes of her brilliant podcast”
