Shinji Mikami, director of the landmark 2005 title, Resident Evil 4, once insinuated he would chainsaw his own head off if RE4 came to a console other than GameCube. 18 years, many console iterations, and a remake later, he had this to say of the recently released 2023 remake: “RE4 cleared successfully. I enjoyed it very much.” That’s right, we’re talking and spoiling the hell out of The Resident Evil 4 Remake on this week’s episode! After many playthroughs, grueling hours and slain Plagas, we can confidently say we also enjoyed it very much and that it’s an easy frontrunner for Game of the Year so far.
