Good content. Format a bit messy
Having been listening to other popular podcasts for a while I stumbled on Amit’s podcast and was pleasantly surprised at the high quality content. The guests are great and topics are diverse rebought that you keep looking forward to the next episode. The style of Amit’s questioning though is a bit off. Amit has a habit, purposefully or not , of reading quotations or statements of the guests in their own words. While this is good it kills any sense of personal opinion or POV and basically leaves nothing for the guest to add or elaborate on. The series with Guha which I really liked was peppered with these niggles. It would be more engaging if Amit used his undoubtedly huge background work to coax the guests to express their view points more liberally rather than having to agree to a quote they’ve already made. Instead the questions asked must result in the guest reaching the quote through discussion. Either way, love the show and keep going. Cheers.

Very well researched, well produced. It’s a must listen for anyone who wants to understand this ancient and complicated land called India.

An excellent podcast with well-researched, in-depth discussions of many topics related to the history, religious ideas, and politics of India. Amit Varna is an excellent journalist and host.

I came across this during the early days of lockdown and got addicted right away. Clearly changed my outlook towards world view. I feel like I am growing upgraded brain cells every time I plug in to an episode. Thanks to Amit and his delightful guests on the show.
