Too close to Home
I have binge listened to all of your episodes. Couldn’t stop listening. Now these three episodes sit here. I just couldn’t bring myself to listen. Westley Allen Dodd was a terrifying reality for this mother of a young blonde boy, his primary target. How we let our children play outside changed forever. My children were not allowed outside without me to supervise. There were gates that closed off the backyard from the front yard. My children were never allowed in the front yard. I know in my heart you has to do these episodes. But the thought of him brings up too many nightmares. After waiting till November 10th to listen. I’m sad. Lee Isely Jr deserved to have his name pronounced properly. I-Z-Lee is how it’s said. I’m surprised after listening to everyone of your episodes that you either missed or left out the circus surrounding Westley Allen Dodd’s hanging. His execution went to court at least once maybe twice. He wanted to donate his organs, this hanging would not damage them. This was fought by the DA and the victims families. The end result was that he would not be allowed to donate his organs.

Very factual and well researched, a nice break from podcasts that discuss true crime amongst themselves. This one simply and effectively states the facts from beginning to end. Very enjoyable!

This is great! This is like a Norwegian(?) dad reading a straight forward bedtime story. Nothing but the facts.

Stories are good, details are interesting and they tell a good chronological tale. BUT there monotonous voice without any break is hard to listen to. It needs some music, a guest, a recording of something..... the usual. It doesn't sound like much work is done beyond reading a document.Read full review »
