“Perfect brevity-focused format with a hint of feistiness — like a wide open short-4 with green surrounds stimping at 9’ and a pin that is only accessible by utilizing a contour.
I’m sure there are refined content purists out there who are sure to take issue with this podcast’s audio quality. I would bet these people also enjoy lush, green fairways and the crisp, manufactured look of Rees Jones bunkering.
Andy and Brendan’s audio is more of a natural, lay-of-the-land style. They aren’t moving a tons earth and re-routing local watersheds to satisfy the tastes of some conglomerate here. They’re pumping out three shows per week from remote locations and a house full of kids passing around cold viruses. The audio is an essential part of the show’s charm, and any attempt by them to edit out things like background airport PA announcements or the crackle of a momentarily-poor Skype connection would be a travesty.
In all seriousness, it’s a legit operation, and their doing great work. So funny, and perfect for the morning commute or a quick stop at the local muni putting green on the way home.”
