“Sports was huge in our household. Every morning before school we watched SportsCenter and every night was a different sporting event; whether it was Iverson crushing Carter, or MJ retiring after for some reason going to the Wizards, or an in home rivalry, i.e: Eagles vs Cowboys, Redskins vs Cowboys, anybody vs the Cowboys (moms from Texas, dad DC, my brother and I are Philly fans through and through, except when it comes to the MJ and Pippen era of Chicago). While my brother and I have grown and now live on different coasts, we still try to talk sports every once in a while, and without him forcing me to watch SportsCenter every morning I’ve kind of lost touch with my sports news. The Shvitz is the perfect podcast to get the highlights and a couple fun facts that I can throw at my brother to remind him that his once annoying little sister could actually be kind of cool. It truly feels like I am sitting around at the Rosh Hashanah kid’s service listening to my brother and his friends dip their apples in some sports knowledge honey.”
