This week we sit down with Kerry "Gouche" Goulet, who, depending on how you know him, is either on of the most accomplished players in German hockey history, or one of the leading names in the fight to raise awareness for Neurological injuries and mental health in athletes. Not to mention: he's also quite the ball hockey player!
We had so much to discuss that we decided to split this interview into two episodes. In this week's episode, Kerry walks us through his earliest playing days leading up to his first shot at turning pro in Germany. We hear about everything from his tryout for John Ferguson Sr., to his Allan Cup victory, and how he managed to open the hottest bars bars in Manitoba and Thunder Bay along the way!
Kerry now works with Shoot for a Cure, Connected Mental Health, and StopConcussions (among others) to make the world of hockey a better place.
