“I get that the second character is supposed to be a young man, but it doesn’t sound like a young man. It would have to be a boy of no more than 5-6 years old to sound like that. Why not just make the character a young woman? My brain cannot accept it this way no matter how hard I try, and every time she’s referred to as a young boy it breaks
my immersion and I have to cycle through “Huh? Who are they talking about? Oh, right, that is supposed to be a boy. Weird.” Just make that character a young eoksn. ?”
