“I adore the open mindedness on display in every episode, but specifically in the september 14th episode, the lack of disclaimer about the covid misinformation is kind of slimy to me. Yes we should respect everybody’s right to believe what they choose. We should also care enough about one another to call out dangerous ideas where we hear them, no matter how awkward it may be in the moment, especially when you have a platform. Allowing a guest to share her provably false beliefs about covid’s impact and contagiousness can be ok, but the lack of any voice to the contrary before or after aside from “whatever you believe is good for you” is dangerous in this case. covid is still a major present danger, especially going into fall/winter, and spreading the idea of covid being a lie and not actually dangerous WITHOUT then giving the actual facts of the matter, which show covid to be an ongoing mass disabling pandemic which is commonly fatal to our elderly, immunocompromised, and young. Many never recover from catching it, as long covid is not nearly studied enough for the amount of anecdotal data in person and online. I personally have more issue breathing, and a severely limited sense of smell, along with muscle weakness which was never an issue before i got covid. These symptoms have persisted for over two years now, I am far from alone in this. I urge you to further think through your handling of sensitive topics such as this in future. Thank you for your effort to understand everybody, and for this platform for the rest of us to learn from. My criticism isn’t from malice it comes from a wish for an even more safe environment here for all of us to explore the nuances of spirituality and the metaphysical.”
