Handling Difficult Convos About Sleep Guidance
Listen now
Description
This is the episode for anyone whose nanny or mother in law told them something like...."sleep training causes brain damage", or "I can't believe you're doing xyz, I could never." Few things are as deflating and stressful to a parent as someone else in their life, especially someone who has experience with children, telling them that not only did the make the wrong choice, but they made a choice that is somehow harmless or mean to their child. As if we don' t have enough damn Mom guilt already! This episode is not a list of come back or links to a million studies you can share to try to prove your point. We're not going to try and convince anyone to agree with us today. Instead, I'm arming you with the tools to stick with a POV that you feel aligned with, to be careful with who you hire and allow into your home, and how to (kindly) hold boundaries with friends or family members who try to undermine your choices. No matter what - remember that you are an incredible parent who deserves to be supported by those around him/her! Loved this episode?
