Wanted to relate but couldn’t
At the risk of being called a hater, I have to admit that after listening to 1-1/2 episodes I decided I couldn’t relate to the host or guests. I really wanted to like this podcast and initially liked the camaraderie, but after listening for a while had a sense that if any of these ladies met someone from a different socioeconomic status struggling with alcohol, they wouldn’t have the same level of understanding or compassion. Perhaps I need to keep listening, and I’ll give it another go. But I found a much more real and honest approach to the struggle with alcohol from the sober awkward podcast (or maybe it’s awkward sober podcast?). In any case, best of luck to all who are struggling. I’m right there with you and I pray that you discover the tools you need to live the life that was designed specifically for you! ❤️

This Sober Mom Life is so relatable and the Facebook community that Suzanne has built is so supportive and encouraging. I truly believe it’s been a good part of the reason why I’ve been able to stick to this new journey of sobriety. 4 months strong, forever to go.
