“Suzanne is inconsistent- one episode stating she doesn’t judge, the next turning her nose up to AA and creating childish Instagram posts related to AA. She also states that she was not a fan of the strong patriarchy in Quit Like a Woman, but then slams AA as being patriarchal. The first episode Suzanne talks about in AA putting aside your ego and goes on to state that women need more ego. This statement clearly demonstrates she has no clue about what role the ego plays in AA. I applaud her for getting sober, but please don’t misrepresent a very solid method of sobriety when you know nothing about it. Have you even ever been to an AA meeting Suzanne? Some of the most intelligent and successful women are in those rooms. You best be careful about your messaging when it comes to alcoholism, AA and sobriety. While you try and capitalize on your sobriety, please remember alcoholism is a disease and you’re in no position to persuade or encourage ANYBODY to follow in your footsteps because you like the spotlight.”
