“Highly recommend! I’ve been following host Brian Becker since I saw him on Empire Files with Abbie Martin, giving an amazingly clear and thorough history of the Russian Revolution in less than 30 minutes!
This is one that I never miss; the topics are timely and important, and the guests like economist Richard Wolff & journalist Eugene Puryear are the best in their fields. Brian Becker has an uncanny ability to succinctly articulate the most relevant historical facts about a topic in the most efficient and entertaining manner (for ex., he has a youtube video on the Russian/Ukraine/US situation today, in which he articulates a very clear synopsis of the relevant facts in opposition to the countervailing corporate media propaganda rehash, and he manages to accomplish this in under 7 minutes! 👏👏)
Anyway, I don’t usually think about writing podcast reviews, but I’ve become such a fan of The Socialist Program, that I felt obliged to pass this on. The more people who listen and learn, the more we’ll be equipped to stand up to and counter the state department propaganda narrative that’s spewed by talking heads on both red team AND blue team cable news channels. These corporate and state elites share the same agenda which serves their own interests, not ours.”
