The Soil Matters Joshua Sundberg @communityrootsaz
Season 2, Episode 24
When Josh was a boy, he wore a leather pouch around his neck filled with sage and called it his "medicine." You had to drag him inside for meals and his shoes were always muddy. (Nothing has changed.) It’s no surprise he felt called to study Herbalism at the Southwest Institute of the
Healing Arts and has spent the last twelve years working in gardens and farms all over Arizona. Josh is known for his teach-a-man-to-fish methods and is deeply passionate about inspiring individuals to find their personal connection with plants and nature. His passion for soil health led him down a path of self-study in mycology, biomimicry and soil ecology. He will come to your garden
to evaluate your goals/indicators and perform assessments to identify remedies for your grow. In 2020, Josh and his family moved from Phoenix to rural
Cornville, AZ (outside of Sedona) where they are stewards of 2 acres of riparian habitat along Oak Creek. They are building an ecological oasis where they host guests, events and classes. Learn more at communityrootsaz.com and follow along @communityrootsaz.
