Useful for social studies, too!
I teach SS, not ELA, which is a bummer because I haven’t found any SS resources as great as this one! But I still find many of Betsy’s ideas applicable to my subject. She finds magic in simplicity. Her resources are not overly complicated; rather, they are short, sweet, well organized, and, as advertised, spark creativity- both in me, and in my students.

I really enjoy Betsy's podcast! I have recently become an avid podcast junkie and just can't get enough of them. The one-pager brought me here, and the wealth of knowledge keeps me coming back, thank you!Read full review »

This is a wonderful way to get and expand on ideas. So get your paper and pencils out and start taking notes and planning. So many ideas that are jumping off points.

These 20 minute episodes offer so many fun & innovative ideas for teaching. I’ve been teaching English/ELA for 25 years, and Betsy helps keep me excited and rejuvenated. Some days I really want to quit, but then I listen to Betsy, and I get enthusiastic again.
