Don Barthman’s Spearfishing Journey
Don started diving in 1952. He was part of the generation of divers that innovated the sport and made it possible for us to have all this great modern equipment. He was a member of the Moby Dicks Dive Club. Also the Purple Urchins, Deep Angles, Richond Pelicans, and dove against the San Jose Flipper Dippers. He Competed all over the world. He survived a Great White Shark attack. He was named IUSA Athelete of the Year in 1979.
