Good story, horrible delivery
As previously mentioned, the "Throw it in the ocean" long that pops up every 2 minutes or so is quite distracting, especially when you consider what a truly awful song it is. I enjoyed the story, but couldn't get behind the reader. Too many instances of not being sure who was speaking as the characters were never clearly distinguished and the usual breaks between dialog were...well, there weren't any Lastly, if you're going to set a chunk of your book on an American ship, you may want to research American slang and patterns of speech. Even discounting the reader's English accent, Americans just don't use those turns of phrase. Hoping the second book loses the song and uses background sounds more effectively

"throw it to the ocean" made me want to throw my I pod into the ocean. The story is great but for every 14 minute chapter there is only about 7 minutes of new story.
