This episode is titled Embracing Darkness because it's centered around the fact that sometimes 'love and light' as a motivating factor is not enough. As human beings we hold within us a dual nature, one of lightness and one of heaviness. And yet we also hold a third nature which is born when we fuse the light and dark together.  What do we become when we embrace all that we are? The Mayan, Aztec, and Olmec peoples saw this represented as the half-human, half-jaguar figure: the being that lives between worlds, beyond society's moral standards.
