“I am enjoying The Squeeze podcast and the openness about mental health. The guests are amazing, however, I wish they would have normal people on who are not well known as celebrities because then it will resonate with people who may be afraid to speak up since it’s only well known people being included in discussions. Mental health is at a crisis and my patients are struggling more than ever for many reasons and sadly many feel no one listens. People often will feel more connected if they can relate to a person who’s opening up about their struggles. I get that Taylor is able to get celebrities and that’s great, but as for myself I’d love to hear people who struggle that are normal people struggling week to week without “celeb “ associated with them. The podcast is wonderful with sharing stories of people we all know, but I think excluding normal everyday folks isn’t helping with those who may need it. Yes we do like to hear from famous people but we must remember everyday people have issues that should be welcomed and discussed… have y’all thought about bringing in physicians who struggle with issues such as PTSD, athletes in school, and people not well known? Look forward to episodes and we have it on in our practice for our patients. Thank you! ~DrK”
