Such an amazing audio documentary on blackness across several diasporas
I discover to my great great great pleasure the podcast via another podcast @dinnerforone ( who is Jamaican American living in france) and I am a black girl from Niger and Reunion island . All these contexts, to say that all the audio documentaries where so relatable even though I am not an African American , or an African living in the US. The latest episode : « don’t call me auntie » is a great exemple of how relatable it is across our so different black diasporas. In my two cultures, you will never call an older woman by her name. So respectfully she will always be auntie . But there is so much affection attached to this word. Can you imagine learning so much by reading this podcast title? But you will my dear ! You will ! Everything is supported by studies, by sociology experts and journalists. Go on if you never press play!

I’m honored to...Read full review »
