The Devourers, his debut novel, was published in 2015 to critical acclaim. The same year, he was shortlisted for the Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize. In 2016 he was shortlisted for the Crawford Prize. And in 2017, he won the Lambda Literary Award for Best LGBTQ Science Fiction, Fiction and Horror.
