The Sunshine Place, The What, When, Where and How of Synanon
Every episode has my heart pounding. Perry you blended these stories so well. People who join cults are ordinary people who are looking for community. No one expected it to turn out the way it did. One of the most moving parts of the TRIP was the music. Bill Crawford knew how to pick music to bring tears. He played Erik Satie’s “Gymnopedies” while we lay on soft pillows. I wish he could do this for the U.S. Senate and House. Perhaps it could unite us and heal our political divide. Even though 50 years have past, I am feeling lots of emotions while hearing the voices and stories. Incredible production - Thank you!

Very interesting and intriguing. Thanks Dr. Drew and Mike for introducing a new listen to my library.

The first episode really grabbed my attention but every episode after that only had miniscule interesting bits. Feels like just a lot of added filler to make the episodes longer. I'm not continuing this podcast for that reason.Read full review »
