Only moderately interesting
On the positive side, the production values of this podcast are excellent. The sound, the mixing, the music are all well thought out and cohesive. I did not find the story itself all that compelling, nor did it really break any new ground on the role of cults and cult leaders. I will admit that I am a huge Robert Downey fan, and that was my main reason for giving the podcast a try. Judging from the reviews, it seems to appeal to a listener who had a direct experience with cults, cult leaders, LSD, and the 70s experience in general.

Fascinating podcast so far. Timely topic given what is happening in the US providing insight into the cult psyche. Well produced and written—you can actually “see” the story as it is being told.

It’s a super interesting podcast and I do enjoy the episodes!! But, the storytelling is just so unorganized and hard to follow. It’s a lot of jumping around between stories. Some parts are really fascinating but doesn’t go into a lot of detail. Other parts seem like they’re just filling time.
