I’ve been working on the bugging out course at the BOL, and it reminded me why learning about bugging out is important. To most of us, bugging out is a last resort and something we will never do. When we see an article or video about bugging out, it’s almost like, “Here we go again.” With so much else involved in prepping, I don’t have time for this. Realistically though, there is a lot to be learned from bugging out that can be applied to other areas of preparedness. Topics like...

In today’s show, I’ll review some best practices regarding food storage and some things to avoid. I also want to go over a poll I did that asked people how much DIY food they have in their storage. Food storage is a crucial aspect of preparedness for several reasons. First and foremost, access to Food at the store may be nonexistent during emergencies or disasters, such as natural disasters, power outages, or civil unrest.  An adequate food storage stockpile ensures that you and...

Today I go over some of the changes we could see in the coming years, like the CBDB, Digital identity, and the globalist initiative to track and control our every move. While this is easier to do in the E.U., here in the U.S., it will take the help of public corporations that are more than willing to help and already are. The concern is the lack of interest, or the lack of concern, by most of the population and the MSM. They seem to focus on the positive aspects of things like digital...

We have Lisa with us today, and we’ll discuss the crucial role of first aid skills and supplies in prepping. As preppers, we understand the significance of preparing for unexpected emergencies and disasters.  However, amidst our focus on food storage, shelter, and self-defense, it’s imperative to recognize the importance of first aid. And, of course, we can’t have Lisa on without doing the fan-favorite “tin Foil Hat Time” segment, where we discuss conspiracy theories, aliens, or...

Today’s podcast is a prepping roundtable I recently participated in that goes over preparing for the golden hoard, food security, building community, and more. The panel included Life Done Free, All American Prepper, Grumpy Acres Farms, and myself.  This was one of the most fun conversations I’ve had about prepping because it was the down to earth, no nonsense preparedness talk. From homesteading to current events, we reviewed some of the essential topics in preparedness, not just the...

In today’s podcast, I have All American Prepper on the show to discuss the importance of MAG groups or support groups, how he lives almost entirely off the grid, and get his thoughts on the SHTF probabilities & possibilities in today’s world. We’ll also go over the importance of training and honing your prepping skills.  All American Prepper has a YouTube channel that focuses quite a bit on self-defense, homesteading, and preparedness in general. Check out his channel, and...

I’ll soon be doing videos testing different prepper meals and cooking in SHTF conditions. Tonight I will discuss some of these emergency cooking options and some precautions we should take in an extended SHTF situation.   Each option I discussed in the show has pros and cons., depending on the situation; one cooking method may be more ideal than the other. Figuring out what to cook will be step one. Ensuring you aren’t ringing the neighbors’ dinner bell might be just as...

Preparing for short-term disaster scenarios is easy, and most of us have that figured out, but what about the longer term disasters?  The reality of survival and the truth of how prepared we might be, are usually quite different than the picture we have in our heads. While we might get a nice cozy feeling thinking that we can handle any disaster that comes our way, that won’t do us any favors in an actual survival situation.  In today’s show, I want to touch on an article I came...

Do preppers overthink their bug-out bags? How do you know you are preparing the “right” way? And why hasn’t the sky fallen yet? Tonight we’ll have Local Prepper back on to talk about the different types of bags for preppers, how & why each prepper needs to have a different preparedness plan, and how to balance staying prepared and overreacting when it comes to the fear porn we are bombarded with on a daily basis. Subscribe to Local Prepper on YouTube here More From...

We might be heading for a second civil war here in the U.S. at some point, but how likely is it really? And what can we do to prepare for it just in case something does kick-off? Tonight I’ll be going over the Civil War possibilities, the timeline, and what we should do to protect our families and our supplies before and during a civil conflict or outright war. I’ll also review a list of low-cost prepping supplies with multiple purposes. As preppers, we love all these supplies...

In today’s podcast, I have Kevin (The Broken Nomad) on to talk about grid-down energy options & solar power. As some of you know, Kevin is in the process of setting up his van to be able to travel around the country for indefinite periods of time.  What Kevin is doing goes hand in hand with what preppers might expect if the power went out and we needed to find alternative forms of energy. While we may not travel across the country, the principal is the same in a van, a bug-out...

I have a great guest on todays show from Defenders USA to go over the importance of firearms training and self-defense. While we will be speaking specifically to people in the preparedness community, this will be good advice for any gun owner. As preppers, we not only need to prepare for something significant that could happen, but we also need to be ready when the unexpected happens closer to home. It’s a dangerous world we live in these days, and taking an honest look at our...

Every once in a while, I run across articles or videos about what food you should store long-term and what foods you should avoid. In today’s podcast and video, I will go over an article titled ” 7 Foods You Should Never (Ever) Stockpile” and give my thoughts and get yours. I also want to let everyone know about today’s live stream (4-20-23) with Adam of Defense USA (link below), where we will be going over some realities about what we might encounter and how to train appropriately...

In today’s podcast, I talk with Local Prepper from Youtube about air filtration for preppers, dealing with anxiety, and some of the threats we face in the near future. We also went down a few other prepping rabbit holes.  Local Prepper is relatively new to YouTube but has a ton of prepping and military experience. I added links to his channel below if you want to have a look or reach out to him. He’s a great guy with a lot of preparedness knowledge.  Along with air filtration...

As preppers, we probably have every disaster scenario mapped out (at least we hope we do). Still, if your family, friends, and loved ones are not on the same page, those plans will not work out so well.  Today I’ll discuss an article I recently read from Selco about being willing to pivot and change plans when necessary. Our ability to adapt to a situation is critical when preparing for whatever might come our way because we don’t know what that might be.  I also went over how...

In this episode, I’ll be going over stepping out of our prepping comforts zones and being honest with ourselves about how prepared we really are. It’s common for preppers to become complacent from time to time, but it sure seems like now is the time to take stock and prep up.  I’ll also be going over the recent bank closures and how that affects us. Is this a sign that things are about to get even worse for the economy? And what can we do to soften the blow if/when it...

In today’s podcast, I go over some of my thoughts about the future of prepping and the future of the united states in general. With society looking like it’s lost its way, the rise of technology, and corporations running the world, there is no doubt that things will change significantly in the coming years.  What does this mean for preparedness and our ability to prep in the first place? Only time will tell, but it doesn’t look good from where I’m sitting. Mentioned in this...

Today’s podcast is a combination of two videos I just published about the food shortages and rising prices we might see in the coming months and bad prepping advice. Bad Advice Preppers Might Hear and Should Avoid! Preparing for any emergency is essential, and preppers are among the most prepared. However, there are some terrible advice preppers should avoid as they can be dangerous or just plain wrong. This video goes over some of the most common bad...

For anyone looking for an eco-friendly, energy-efficient way to bake and cook outdoors or during a power outage, the All American Sun Oven is an attractive option. In this sun oven review, we will give an in-depth look at the features of this product, put it to work, and discuss whether it is worth buying. I’ve owned a Sun Oven for years, and because the food tastes so good when it’s cooked in a Sun Oven, I use it a few times a year here at home. It’s basically the same as cooking...

In this podcast, I go over how I have changed since becoming interested in preparedness and how prepping in general, has changed over the years. When you first get into preparedness, it’s basically about food, water “Doomsday”. After a while, you start to understand that there is much more we need to prepare for than an EMP or World War 3. Once you’ve been prepping for a while, it becomes a mindset. I go over how preparedness has changed in the last decade and how and why it has...

In this podcast & live video, I’ll be going over my plans for using my Maxpedition Gearslinger as my everyday carry bag, along with what I plan to put inside. Of all the types of bag preppers use (bug out bag, get home bag, & EDC bags) the EDC is by far the most customized to your specific needs. I’ll be going into more detail about that in the Livestream. As I did with my bug out bag video, this is the initial planning phase. I”ll be taking your ideas and thoughts into...

We’ll also be going over balancing day-to-day life and prepping. While it’s important to prepare for any disasters that might come our way, we still need to live our best life. Do you have a secondary bug-out vehicle ready, just in case? Do you have your boots together with your bug-out bag at all times? In this podcast, I go over some prepping tips to help you survive and navigate different survival situations.  Navigating through any disaster or SHTF event will be complicated, to say the least. Not only will there be differences depending on the disaster, but the prepping knowledge, skills, and supplies you have also make that puzzle more complicated or...

Joining or forming a prepping group has always been a challenge when it comes to putting together our preparedness plans. There are a number of factors that go into this, and today Titan Preparedness and I dig into the subject.  We also went over the different levels of disaster, and what we might expect from them. While the smaller and most likely events are easily overcome, the larger SHTF-type scenarios become more complicated.
