“Syd promises “learning, discovery and good old conversation“ at the lead in to each episode. At first I just listened to people I knew by name but I find the insights sufficiently telling that I’m going back now to listen to just about every episode.
Syd brings his academic perspectives to the interview but does so in such a light touch way that the entertainment value remains high while I still get valuable insights from the life and experience of each guest.
The episodes are not heavily produced – there’s a recognizable theme tune but no commercials and the occasional sound from the real world as recent episodes have been taped from his dining room table during lockdown.
