“In today’s podcast I was not surprised at all to hear an English host describe Ireland diminutively as follow: “Ireland only has 0.1% of the world’s population, but they became one of the biggest tax havens on the planet”
Can I remind the host that the UK also has less than 1% of the world’s population. This includes the occupied populations of the UK. For such a small country you’re no slouches yourselves when it comes to base erosion and profit shifting, you don’t dispute this.
Please keep up the great work and watch out for micro-aggressions. I appreciate I may be over-sensitive but please understand that there are valid reasons why this type of throwaway comment is like nails on a board to a national consciousness scarred by British Imperialism. Thank you.”
