A can of worms
Great representation of a very true story. Went to Cromer high school..... this was our life. The Time and Tide story was not once in a while or even once a month, it was every Friday night at least. You would go out with your friends to be confronted with your teachers entertaining students on their laps. Can’t believe we never told our parents. Grooming was an everyday occurrence. Little notes from teachers in class, asking you to buy them something from the canteen and to buy yourself anything you wanted at whatever cost and to take as long as you liked. Stay back after class for chats on how great you are. Friends going camping in the holidays and the teachers would rock up. So creepy and so wrong at any level. Remember well my dad being annoyed with me that one of those creepy teachers had written on my report that I “talk too much in class” and me thinking if if only I could tell my dad my judgements of my teacher. But still for some unknown reason we didn’t tell. Even to the point that many years later one of the main culprit teachers ended up teaching my own daughter. I was close with the principal at the time and still didn’t speak up. These teachers are still around, and some still on the northern beaches. Please let justice prevail for Lynette’s family and friends.
