Description
Did you ever get nervous about high school "group projects" because you didn't want to deal with the "slackers"? Ever wonder why you just can't let go of a promised to-do item? If this sounds like you - or someone you work or live with - this is the episode for you. In this episode we share our experiences with having Responsibility® in our Top 5 CliftonStrengths® talent themes and how to appreciate this talent theme as it shows up in others.   We dive into the ways these talents present in our lives and what it means to feel the “psychological ownership” of what we say we will do. We share insights into how this theme can look to others when overused, or unbalanced, and tips for yourself (if you struggle to keep balance) or others who might be inclined to overcommit. In pop culture we have seen this over commitment and reference a few examples (paging Julia Roberts as Erin Brockovich). Today feels like a lesson in communication and setting expectations, two things that are sure to keep a person with high Responsibility® talents happy.   What about you? What are ways your Responsibility® theme has shown up for you in your success? Share your experience in the comments. Have another topic you want us to discuss? Drop us a comment.
