Description
Do you long to make others feel valued and included?
On this episode of The Thoughtful Talents Show, e2grow & Gallup Certified Strengths Coaches Florence Hardy and Shaina Lane share their insights on the CliftonStrengths® Includer® talent theme. We learn those with Includer talents are great at building community and creating meaningful connections with others. They have a keen awareness of when others are feeling left out, and regularly use their ability to make others feel comfortable, heard, valued, and ultimately put them at ease.
Florence and Shaina highlight how their Includer talents allow them to create space while (and by) withholding judgments. They have a willingness to accept and invite others in, regardless of their opinions. They are uninterested in hierarchy, as they believe everyone has value and something to contribute. They share that unlike others who may try to influence (like WOO) or have an agenda to 'get stuff done' (like Achievers), those with Includer strictly want others to be and feel included, with no alternate agenda
For those with high Includer, realize that there can be issues when inviting too many people in. Use care not to invite 'too many cooks to the kitchen'. Setting clear expectations can help provide guardrails to reduce delays that could be caused by wanting all voices to be heard.
We invite you to share with us your personal experience with the Includer theme.
