We get it...
Honestly, this podcast is HORRIBLE! Jay was once one of my favorite podcasts to listen to with Ryan on The Crabfeast. Listening to this for five minutes it’s easy to tell Jay was the one that pulled the cord there. This is such a knock off and failed attempt to copy “A Lot To Learn with Austin Rogers” podcast. Jay is just rambling for large portions of this. LARGE PORTIONS where he thinks his intellect and point of view on the world gets him far and earns credit. Rather it just falls apart every episode with him botching the English language, running on, repeating the same thought four different ways, taking five minutes to set up every reason for an interview... blah, blah, blah. Dude, it’s a interview podcast, just ask the right questions and be a conversationalist. Problem is... Jay isn’t a conversationalist, he’s a guy that thinks he’s better than because he’s a comedian in LA and a self admitted “friend collector” that cares more about what others can give him rather than what he can give to us. Need proof? He’s literally taking his friends and interviewing them behind a pay wall so fans have to put money down to listen to it. All the jokes are gone. This is so so so so so so so bad that I can’t imagine it lasting too long. He went on for ten minutes about how he doesn’t have a record player, the next week it was ten minutes about someone that gave him a gift from his weeding. Blah, blah, blah... it’s an hour podcast dude. I’m fifteen minutes through and Jay’s introduced the guests five times, explained what’s the episode is about five times and rambled about a thought he had for five minutes... dude... come on! Listen, I loved Jay on the Crabfeast. It was always clear he wanted more, but he had a voice and narrative there. I get old crabfeast fans are gonna instantly give five stars here. I press you to really listen. Through the bad sound quality. Through the rambling and smoke screens to fill time. Let’s see if there is a heart here. I don’t think so. So bare witness to another, and hopefully last, attempt for a forty year old man to prove to his wife he can pull in an income that might put a roof over his family’s head that isn’t owned by a landlord. Lord know the self produced stand up special didn’t work out. Oh, I also thought Jay was retiring from comedy a few years back. Whatever.

More reviews of The Thruline with Jay Larson
hey hey playa! First, it was the Crab Feast! Classic podcast. And now, it is the Thruline. Great concept Jay. When can we see a Sue Larson episode about cooking?

I loved the CrabFeast but got into it a little late. Sad it’s over, but I’m excited for this. It’s been great so far!!!
