“I like Gustavo and the LA Times, so when I saw this podcast I thought it was a great west coast alternative to The Daily. I get the sense that this show is still in the process of finding its rhythm and voice, so I want to give it a chance. I was VERY disappointed with the episode on El Salvador’s DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED president Nayib Bukele. I am an Angeleno with family in El Savador. He has done a lot of good things for El Salvador and is beloved my his people. The episode was essentially a hit piece on him. The episode was very dismissive of the voices of Salvadorans, most of whom support Bukele and what he has done for the country. That being said, I don’t want a low rating to negatively effect this podcast. There’s already very little daily news podcasts for the west coast. Take the five stars and do better, please!”

“I used to love listening to Gustavo and the podcast. But this blatant support for crypto and NFTs turned me off to the show. I really don’t think you should be able to post hard hitting stories about the downsides of NFTs and then use NFTs for a Super Bowl ad.
