Do better
Quality of the information is great, topics are intriguing, but… Did someone make this a podcast meant to alienate the a portion of Angelenos? The constant use of Spanglish is kitschy and Gustavo’s delivery is less than engaging. I imagine if he weren’t busy trying to come up with how to fit in sound effects, flat humor, or sprinkle in more random Spanish words he could be more engaged with the speaker rather than just read the copy emailed to him earlier that day. This town has so much great production I expect a higher production standard from an entity like LA Times. The best episode delivered thus far was the Danny Trejo one with Daniel Hernandez. Try aligning your style more to this, and you’ll have a much better piece of media!
