“I've been listening to the Tome Show since Jeff Greiner began it back in the early 4e days and I still eagerly look forward to each new episode. Unfortunately, Jeff's PHD work has left him with less time to podcast than he used to. Luckily, James Introcaso joined The Tome Show at about that time and has been churning out even more quality content than ever before.
I have about a half dozen other D&D related podcasts in my feed, which I really enjoy, but this one is head and shoulders above all others. There are several categories of shows that they do, ranging from product reviews (print, digital, and even video games); book club banter; regular interviews with D&D industry creative leaders; to round table discussions and rules analyses.
My favourites are Jeff's product reviews and interviews - probably because I'm an original listener and Jeff's style and quality are more familiar to me and are what originally attracted me to this podcast - however, James's work and contributions to the lineup are invaluable and he brings a lot of new talent to the programming.
If I were to make any criticism at all it would merely be to say that the V&G show that analyzes D&D video games could use more evidence and examples to let their strongly expressed views be grounded in more substance. I only consider mentioning this because of everyone's obvious dedication to quality on The Tome Show lineup.
I've been playing D&D since Basic when I was nine years old, and I've always thought it was the greatest game ever. I can't thank you all enough for sharing your own passion and hard work, bringing this consistently fantastic content to my ears to give me my D&D fix between my group's weekly game.
Some people might wonder why James keeps thanking Jeff at the end of each episode, but I know:
It's because he deserves it!
Keep up the great work everyone!
