Entertaining and Didactic
The Tome Show, as well as the other shows like Behind the DM Screen are just awesome. I'm a "new" DM from Brazil, started playing and DMing in April 2015. Ever since, I've been trying to find good podcasts I can listen to on my commute to work about games and RPG. I found the Tome about a month ago when I was looking for reviews on Rise of Tiamat, because I don't know any other DMs I could talk to about it and, sure enough, I stumbled upon this golden hoard of content! Not only did I get the review I wanted, but also got to hear really good insights (from experienced DMs) on what's good/bad, how to run, what would be nice to change. From the way they talk, very casual and fun, it actually felt like I was talking to a couple of friends of mine. I've been listening to whatever they post and would recommend it to anyone interested in D&D, RPG and/or DMing! Cheers! PS: There's only one thing I don't like in the show and it's not big enough to influence the ratings, which is the intro that sounds like a Catholic Priest during mass. Idk if it's because it's to loud or kinda wierd but I always try to skip it.

The Tome Show is the best D&D Podcast I have heard. I would say that it even rivals Wizard's own podcast. Jeff Greiner covers a diverse array of D&D topics including 4th edition and 3.X/Pathfinder RPG. The guests and co-hosts of the show are all top notch names from the gaming...Read full review »
