110. My Home Town History – The Darker Side Of Stafford
Listen now
Description
In this solo episode, I take you on a journey into the past… to the darker side of my home town, Stafford, in the Midlands.   Years ago, I wrote a script for a history/ghost tour I was going to conduct around Stafford town centre, including ghosts, ghouls, murderers, hangings, and other historically interesting (and creepy) events that occurred in this fair town.   Knowing that many people don’t think to be tourists in their own home towns (or in the places they currently live), I thought listeners might want to hear my tour script – both residents and visitors of Stafford – as it’s been gathering dust in a metaphorical drawer (i.e. my computer hard drive) for years. (Spoiler alert: I never went ahead with the ghost tour.)   So, prepare to get spooked – and hopefully entertained! – as we delve into the darker side of Stafford.   Warning: This episode includes mentions of death, murder, and lots of other morbid things that some people might not be into!  ----- Follow Jessica on Instagram @traveltransformationcoach and check out her website at https://www.traveltransformationcoach.com     Get your free Travel Transformation Guide at https://traveltransformationcoach.com/transformationguide   Join the Flip The Script Travel Transformation Academy at https://traveltransformationcoach.com/academy   Check out Jessica’s books at https://traveltransformationcoach.com/books   Email Jessica at [email protected]   We’re partnered with Give The Goodness Global, a brilliant global outreach project.
