118. How Emily Dickinson Gave Me A Kick Up The Arse
Listen now
Description
In this solo episode, I talk about how Emily Dickinson gave me a kick up the arse. Bear with me here… I’ve recently been watching the show ‘Dickinson’ on Apple TV, and it suddenly struck me: I have it so easy! As a woman these days, I can vote, I can live alone, I can travel alone, I’m not the ‘property’ of a man, I can write and publish my thoughts, I can start businesses, I can own property, I can achieve all my wildest dreams just from sitting down at my laptop and going online… so why aren’t I doing all these things?! If Emily Dickinson were alive right now, think of all the incredible things she could achieve with her amazing talent. And then think of all the things you’re able to achieve… but haven’t. All the dreams you’ve left unchecked, when – really – there aren’t any barriers stopping us from doing so. Not like in the 1800s, anyway. And that is my story of how Emily Dickinson gave me a kick up the arse. ----- Follow Jessica on Instagram @traveltransformationcoach and check out her website at https://www.traveltransformationcoach.com   Get your free Travel Transformation Guide at https://traveltransformationcoach.com/transformationguide Join the Flip The Script Travel Transformation Academy at https://traveltransformationcoach.com/academy Check out Jessica’s books at https://traveltransformationcoach.com/books Email Jessica at [email protected] We’re partnered with Give The Goodness Global, a brilliant global outreach project.
