151. Using Gigs, Shows & Restaurants To 'Travel' The World
Listen now
Description
In this super quick quickie solo episode, I talk about my recent trip to Cambridge, to visit my friend Vicki and to attend two shows – a Little Big Town gig and Buffy Revamped. These shows – along with hanging out in the botanical gardens with plants and trees from all over the world, having lunch in an African restaurant, and listening to nostalgic playlists over dinner – helped transport me to different times and different places. It’s basically travel (or time travel) without actually having to go anywhere. As I embark on a big trip to the States, I want to remind people that, sometimes, they can have similar travel experiences by simply attending a gig or eating at a restaurant featuring cuisines from all over the world.
