This week on the Treasury Career Corner podcast, Mike interviews Dave Cable, the Vice President, Treasurer at ATI Inc, a company that specializes in producing high-performance materials for the aerospace and defence industry. Learn about Dave's unconventional career path and his journey to becoming a Treasurer.
Dave is currently the Vice President, Treasurer at ATI Inc, responsible for ATI’s global treasury function including the company’s capital markets activities, bank and rating agency relationships, pension investments, and cash management.
He also oversees ATI’s Insurance and Risk function. Dave joined ATI as an Assistant Treasurer in 2018, bringing with him over 15 years of treasury and finance experience.
Prior to joining ATI, Dave was Director, Global Treasury for Walgreens Boots Alliance based in Deerfield, Illinois, and he also spent 13 years at Western Union based in Denver, Colorado where he held a variety of roles with increasing responsibility.
Dave graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University and earned an MBA from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He is a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s Board of Directors and serves as the Co-Chair for the Board’s Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Executive Committee e for the University of Denver’s Alumni Council.

He discusses his experience working in different roles, including capital markets, M&A, and treasury, and how each step led him to his current position as Vice President Treasurer at ATI.
