Gripping, innovative and important
This series is not only an important piece of journalism that delves deep into and reveals the malicious views and complexities of local, regional and national government, but is also an incredible piece of podcasting. The Serial perspective, of following an investigation, works so well here, as I genuinely engage with the hosts themselves (well done of graduating journalism school Hamza!) and am riding along with them during their quest. But, over and above the ‘art for art’s sake’ argument, is the deeply troubling machinations revealed by this series. I haven’t yet finished, but I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that The Trojan Horse Affair reveals how islamophobia is weaponised in the hands of those with significant power. A terrifying prospect, and I am pleased to be (slightly) reassured that there are those like Hamza and Brian who are dedicated to seeking it out.

Wow
I have not been able to stop listening. I’m on episode 6 right now and I’m just sitting on the couch with my headphones in. I’m so happy you dropped all the episodes at once. I’m very excited to finish it. Thanks

LOVEEEEEEE this podcast. My favorite part was seeing the evolution of Hamza and Brian’s friendship throughout.
