Love This Podcast BUT
I love this podcast. This podcast is well researched, the host is well spoken and presents the information in a respectful manner. I love that you cover new and interesting crimes and not just another rendition of well known crimes and criminals that have been covered over and over. Now that I’ve given you 5 stars and an honest favorable review I think I’ve earned the right to tell you what I don’t like. I don’t like podcasters who complain at the top of their podcasts about listeners who leave less than 5 stars and or negative reviews. Listening to the most recent episode and hearing you complain about the first and only 1 star review you’ve gotten was sad and you sounded like a petty child who felt wronged. The iTunes ratings system allows listeners to leave a star rating and or review and it’s there to keep podcast creators honest. To assert that listeners should only leave a 5 star review unless they explain why is absurd. If all listeners only left positive reviews then there would be no accountability. The ratings system keeps everyone honest so that bad content doesn’t get rewarded as though it were excellent content. Your podcast is one of the better podcasts so I’m not even sure why you’re so effected by one negative review. Not everyone loves all podcasts and they are allowed, actually encouraged to review either by star rating OR written review OR both when they don’t like a podcast and when they love a podcast. If you can’t handle the public’s opinion then don’t work in a field that allows for and encourages the listeners to provide their opinions. Shaming listeners won’t endear you to them. Reviews can be changed. I have left less than 100% favorable reviews and when I check back in with the podcast and the podcast has improved I have and do amend my rating and or review and I know I’m not alone. If I heard a podcaster call me out for my review I would never go back and change it.

This podcast presents interesting cases from Great Britain. The podcaster is personable and friendly; as well , it is easy for me to understand him despite his accent. The podcasts arrive regularly. Well worth the listen.
