Description
Truman Charities has raised over $1.7 MILLION since its founding, and we’re excited to do even more for our community. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce another fundraising event for JUST TRYAN IT on August 12th, from 3 to 6PM at the Truman House! After her son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at a young age, Mollie Darby has friends and family rally around them to support his 3.5 year treatment journey. Not all children and families are lucky enough to have the same kind of support, and this was the inspiration for the JUST TRYAN IT charity. JUST TRYAN IT raises money through fun kids triathlon events to help families of children with pediatric cancer. They provide financial assistance to keep families in their homes, support them when hospital stays cause them to lose their jobs, feed families, get crucial medications, and more.  If you’d like to support JUST TRYAN IT, come to the next race in Bethesda on October 1st! Kids ages 6-14 can race and anyone ages 14+ can volunteer at the event.  And remember to join us at the JUST TRYAN IT event on August 12th for food, drinks and fun for the whole family!
