“Oh god. This could be so good, however I simply can’t listen to it anymore due to the speaking style of the host. His continual upspeak, sycophantic behaviour towards guests and overuse of superlatives kills this podcast stone dead.
It does sound like he is trying, he really is. But the reality check for this host needs to happen. Just sounding enthusiastic is not enough...it all lacks credibility and doesn’t sound genuine. It would even sound better if read out more calmly by speech synthesis!!
Also - editing - it is so unprofessional and obvious where it occurs......let it breathe! Let the guests breath in the edit. It’s not just about the words it’s also about the breaths! Maybe you’re targeting 20 mins but a few more minutes for something that is not painful to listen to would be a sensible target.
