Something doesnt sit well with this podcast
Instead of providing us with facts so we can make up our own minds, the reporter has taken the easy way out and simply applied a bunch of labels on the shooters. Employing the latest trendy method of reporting, the narrator uses “othering” as a way to speak about and describe the shooters. This shows bias toward a pre determined narrative. I’m not saying the shooters are innocent, my beef is with the reporters who are using labels like “misinformation” “conspiracy theorists” “evil” or “right wing extremists” to label them, rather than giving us facts - what did the shooters say/write, what ideologies do they subscribe to, what behaviour did they display, what theory did they say they agreed with etc - we should be given those facts rather than a label so we can make up our own minds, not provided with cookie cutter labels with the intention of telling the listener what to think. I’m not sure I have the stomach for the rest of this mainstream media podcast, I feel very let down with drama and name calling the theme rather than facts

I’m continually impressed by Jess Lodge’s ability to produce an absolute investigative masterpiece. Melissa Downs was also an incredible host- I was intrigued and emotionally involved the whole way through.

While this story is important, this podcast is very drawn out. It would have more impact from shorter episodes and a tighter narrative.
